Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Heknology Discord bot ("we", "us") and this website collect, and how that information is used. Heknology is a private bot, currently used only in the Discord server Sxzxr's Palace - it is not publicly invitable to other servers.
This Website
This site is a static informational page. It does not currently have a login, dashboard, or any form that collects information from visitors. It does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers.
Like any website host, our hosting provider automatically keeps standard server access logs (e.g. request timestamps and IP addresses) as part of normal hosting operation - this is handled entirely by the host, not by us, and we don't have access to it.
The Discord Bot
Within the Discord server it operates in, Heknology processes:
- Message content - staff members manually approve submissions with a reaction. Approved content is relayed by the bot into #verified-reactions, which is restricted to staff. We do not store message content outside of Discord.
- Basic Discord account data - user IDs and roles, used to run commands (e.g. moderation actions) and check permissions. This is read from Discord at the time of the action, not stored in a separate database.
- YouTube channel data - public video/livestream metadata (titles, thumbnails, live status) via the YouTube API, used to post stream/upload alerts. No data about individual YouTube viewers is collected, and we do not store viewer-specific data.
The bot may write technical/system logs for operational purposes (e.g., stream detection and event scheduling), but it does not store message content history, viewer data, or IP addresses.
How We Use This Information
- To run moderation and utility commands within the server
- To relay approved community submissions into a verified channel
- To post automated stream/upload announcements
We do not sell data, and we do not use it to train machine learning or AI models.

A Note on the Dashboard
An admin dashboard with Discord login is planned but not currently live. When it launches, this policy will be updated to describe what account data it collects (e.g. session cookies, OAuth scopes) before it goes public.
Children's Privacy
The bot and site are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Approved submissions are posted only to Discord channels restricted to staff.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the bot and site evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
